Philippe Brault (The Origin of Evil, Norbourg, Shepherds, Maria Chapdelaine) has composed the original score for the upcoming Canadian crime thriller In Cold Light. The film is marks the English language feature debut of director Maxime Giroux (Felix and Meira, The Great Darkened Days) and stars Maika Monroe, Troy Kotsur, Helen Hunt and Allan Hawco. The movie follows a woman fresh out of prison who witnesses the brutal murder of her brother and – pursued by the killers and by her own demons – must fight to stay alive and figure out who set her up. Patrick Whistler (Dreamland) wrote the screenplay. Yanick Letourneau (Night of the Kings, Lemonade) and Mike MacMillan (Don’t Talk to Irene, Weirdos) are producing the Périphéria and Lithium Studios production. In Cold Light will premiere next month at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival.
