Gaumont has released a soundtrack album for the French/Canadian comedy drama My Mother, God, and Sylvie Vartan (Ma mère, Dieu et Sylvie Vartan). The album features the film’s original music composed by Nicolas Errèra (Hidden Man, Raging Fire, Survive, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, Adoring, Shaolin, The Serpent’s Path, Mountain Cry). My Mother, God, and Sylvie Vartan is written and directed by Ken Scott and stars Leïla Bekhti, Jonathan Cohen, Sylvie Vartan, Naïm Naji, Milo Machado Graner, Lionel Dray, Jeanne Balibar, Joséphine Japy and Anne Le Ny. The movie is based on Roland Perez’s novel of the same name and tells the story of a boy born with a clubfoot and his mother who decides to do everything in her power to ensure that her son is not handicapped all his life. The dramedy will be released in French theaters tomorrow, March 19.
