Sofia degli Alessandri (aka Drum & Lace) (Red, White & Royal Blue, Cobweb, Summering) and Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation,Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, One of Us Is Lying) are teaming up to score the upcoming NBC drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society. The show is created by Jenna Bans & Bill Krebs and stars Melissa Fumero, Aja Naomi King, Ben Rappaport, AnnaSophia Robb, Nancy Travis, Alexander Hodge, Matthew Davis and Felix Wolfe. The series follows four members of a suburban garden club who find their lives intertwined by scandal, mischief and a shared secret – a murder no one wants to talk about. Bans (The Family) & Krebs also serve as the project’s showrunners and are executive producing the Universal Television production with Casey Kyber. The composers have previously collaborated with Bans & Krebs on the third and fourth season of the NBC comedy drama Good Girls. Grosse Pointe Garden Society will premiere on February 23, 2025 on NBC and will also be available to stream on Peacock.
The composers have also recently co-scored William Bridges’ All of You, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and will premiere this year on Apple TV+. Alessandri has composed the music for Michelle Walshe’s & Lindsay Utz’s documentary Prime Minister about the life of former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and her five tumultuous years in power. The film will premiere this month at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
