Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1958 adventure drama The Old Man and the Sea directed by John Sturges, written by Peter Viertel based on Ernest Hemingway’s novella of the same name title and starring Spencer Tracy. The album features a new recording of the film’s complete original score composed by Dimitri Tiomkin (High Noon, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Alamo, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Giant, The Guns of Navarone) and performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, conducted by Richard Kaufman.
