Sony Music Entertainment UK has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Maestra. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anne Chmelewsky (Where Hands Touch, The Shepherd, Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Only People). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first two tracks (Paris (Part I & II)) below. Maestra is directed by Maggie Contrerasa and follows an international group of women orchestra conductors as they prepare for La Maestra in Paris, the only competition in the world for female conductors.The documentary, which premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival, was released in select U.S. theaters this past May/June and is now available to stream on Netflix.
