Music Box Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2006 French drama Le Grand Meaulnes co-written and directed by Jean-Daniel Verhaeghe, based on the novel of the same name by Alain-Fournierand starring Nicolas Duvauchelle, Jean-Baptiste Maunier and Clémence Poésy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Philippe Sarde (The TenantTess, Quest for Fire, Lord of the Flies, Ghost Story, PiratesBaroccoNelly & Monsieur Arnaud) and performed by the Pro Arte Orchestra, recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. The limited edition CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and find out more about the release. Le Grand Meaulnes opened in French theaters in 2006 and is now available in the U.S. on VOD.
