Waxwork Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1974 horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre co-written and directed by Tobe Hooper and starring Marilyn Burns, Paul A. Partain, Edwin Neal, Jim Siedow and Gunnar Hansen. The album features the film’s original score composed by Hooper and Wayne Bell (Eaten Alive, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically (on vinyl, CD and and cassette) in the coming months to coincide with the movie’s 50th anniversary. A first track (Main Title) is already available to stream/download now as a digital single on most major digital music platforms and can also be checked out after the jump. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is now available on VOD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
