Carly Paradis (The Innocents, The Rising, Line of Duty, Typist Artist Pirate King, Sick Note, Whitstable Pearl, Prime Suspect 1973) has been tapped to score the second season of the BBC drama Showtrial. The show is created by Ben Richards (The Tunnel, Cobra) and stars Adeel Akhtar, Nathalie Armin, Michael Socha, Fisayo Akinade, Joe Dempsie, Zoë Telford, Ali Khan, Nina Toussaint-White, John Light, John Marquez, Anna Wilson-Jones and Francesca Annis. The 5-part thriller centers on the death of a high-profile climate activist from in a violent hit and run who uses his dying moments to apparently identify his killer – a serving policeman. Richards is also executive producing the Simon Heath (Bodyguard, Vigil) and Emma Luffingham (The Diplomat) for World Productions. Samuel Sim has previously scored the first season of the anthology series, which made its debut in 2021. Season 2 of Showtrial is premiering in the UK tonight on BBC One.
Paradis’ other recent project include World Productions’ Until I Kill You, which already premiered in several international markets and is expected to debut in the UK in the coming months on ITV.
