Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, I’ll See You in My Dreams, Sorry for Your Loss, A Teacher, Love Again, The Hero, Divorce) is scoring the upcoming comedy Friendship. The film is written and directed by Andrew DeYoung and stars Tim Robinson, Paul Rudd, Kate Mara and Jack Dylan Grazer. The movie follows a suburban dad obsessively pursuing camaraderie with his charming neighbor and whose childlike nature threatens to ruin the friendship, and possibly everything else in his life. Nick Weidenfeld (Childrens Hospital, Ten Year Old Tom), Raphael Margules & J.D. Lifshitz (Barbarian, Becky) and Johnny Holland are producing the Fifth Season and BoulderLight Pictures production. Friendship will premiere in September at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
DeWitt’s other upcoming projects include Chad Hartigan’s The Threesome, which is expected to be released in 2025. He also has recently scored Yassir & Isaiah Lester’s The Gutter, which premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and has recently been picked up by Magnolia Pictures for a release in select theaters and on VOD on November 1, 2024.
