Composer Sam Ewing (The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, Beautiful Disaster, Last Seen Alive, Victor Crawley) is reteaming with director Chuck Russell (Eraser, The Mask) on the upcoming supernatural horror movie Witchboard. The film is written and directed by Russell and stars Jamie Campbell Bower, Madison Iseman, Aaron Dominguez, Antonia Desplat, Mel Jarnson, David La Haye and Charlie Tahan. The movie based on the 80s franchise of the same title follows a young woman who opens an organic café with her fiancé and her friends, when she discovers an ancient pendulum board with spiritual powers that was once used to summon spirits. Russell is also producing the project with Greg McKay (Undercover Brother, Night of the Demons), Kade Vu and Bernie Gewissler (Mob Land, One Ranger). Ewing has previously scored Russell’s last feature, Paradise City. Witchboard will premiere this Friday at the 2024 Fantasia Festival. No release date has been announced yet.
