Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Bardo, She Came to Me, The Kitchen, Manhunt, A Good Person, Irresistible) has been tapped to score the upcoming romantic drama We Live in Time. The film is directed by John Crowley (Brooklyn, The Goldfinch) and stars Florence Pugh, Andrew Garfield, Marama Corlett and Adam James. The movie follows an up-and-coming chef who finds her life forever changed by a chance encounter with a recent divorcee. Nick Payne (The Sense of an Ending, The Last Letter from Your Lover) wrote the screenplay. Leah Clarke (The Mauritanian, The End We Start From), Adam Ackland (The Courier, Patrick Melrose) and Guy Heeley (Locke, Cyrano) are producing the StudioCanal, SunnyMarch and Film4 production. Benedict Cumberbatch serves as an executive producer. We Live in Time is set to be released in select theaters on October 11, 2024 by A24.
Dessner’s other recent scoring projects include Greg Kwedar’s Sing Sing, which premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters on July 12 by A24, Thomas Napper’s Widow Clicquot, which also premiered at TIFF last year and will be released in theaters on July 19 by Vertical, as well as Nicole Riegel’s Dandelion (co-scored with Aaron Dessner), which premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and is scheduled to be released in select theaters on July 12 by IFC Films.
