Opening in New York and Los Angeles today before expanding nationwide on May 17 is the horror thriller I Saw the TV Glow written and directed by Jane Schoenbrun and starring Justice Smith, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Helena Howard, Ian Foreman, Fred Durst and Danielle Deadwyler. Alex G (We’re All Going to the World’s Fair) has composed the film’s original score. A24 Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music on May 16. The label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie by artists such as Yeule, Florist & Caroline Polachek. The film’s original music is composed by Eiko Ishibashi (Drive My Car, Blade of the Immortal). Drag City will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on June 28. The movie, which explores the life and art of American author Flannery O’Connor, premiered at last year’s Telluride Film Festival and is being distributed by Oscilloscope Laboratories.
