Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the British Hulu/Disney+ original series Shardlake. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Queen of Katwe, The Regime, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Touching the Void, The Rite, State of Play). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s main theme after the jump. Shardlake is written by Stephen Butchard based on C.J. Sansom’s popular novels and stars Arthur Hughes, Sean Bean, Anthony Boyle, Babou Ceesay, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Paul Kaye, Matthew Steer, Brian Vernel, Peter Firth, David Pearse, Miles Barrow, Irfan Shamji, Mike Noble and Kimberley Nixon. The 4-part murder mystery directed by Justin Chadwick is set in 16th century England and follows the title character whose sheltered life as a lawyer is turned upside down when he gets instructed to solve the murder of one of his commissioners at a monastery. The series will premiere this coming Wednesday, May 1 in the U.S. on Hulu and internationally on Disney+
