Composers Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Soul, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl, Empire of Light) are reteaming with director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, Suspiria) on the upcoming historical romantic drama Queer. The film is based on the novel of the same title by William S. Burroughs and stars Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, Lesley Manville, Henry Zaga and Jason Schwartzman. The movie is set in 1940s Mexico tells the story of an expat who becomes infatuated with a younger man. Justin Kuritzkes wrote the screenplay. Guadagnino is also producing the project with Lorenzo Mieli (Priscilla, The Hand of God). Reznor & Ross have previously scored Guadagnino’s last two features, Bones and All and the upcoming Challengers. The composers have confirmed their involvement in a recent interview with GQ. Queer is expected premiere at a major film festival this year.
