Netflix Music will release the official soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated film Leo. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Christopher Robin, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Hitman, Disturbia, Into the West). Also included are the project’s original songs written by the film’s co-director/co-writer Robert Smigel, as well as Adam Sandler, Tiffany Topol, Dan Reitz & David Feldman and performed by voice cast members including Sandler, Cecily Strong, Jason Alexander, Sadie & Sunny Sandler, Topol & others. Leo is directed by Robert Marianetti, Smigel & David Wachtenheim and also stars Bill Burr, Rob Schneider, Jackie Sandler, Heidi Gardner, Nick Swardson, Nicholas Turturro, Jo Koy and Stephanie Hsu. The animated comedy tells the story of a jaded 74-year-old lizard who has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle, when he learns he only has one year left to live and plans to escape to experience life on the outside. The film opened in select theaters last weekend and will premiere tomorrow on Netflix.
