John Paesano (Daredevil, The Maze Runner, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Cheaper by the Dozen, Truth Be Told) is returning as the composer of the upcoming Disney+ animated movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever. The film is directed by Luke Cormican and features the voices of Wesley Kimmel, Erica Cerra and Hunter Dillon. The animated feature based on Jeff Kinney’s book series follows Greg Heffley as he accidentally damages a snowplow while making a snowman with best friend Rowley and worries he won’t get the new video game console he so desperately wants for Christmas. Kinney wrote the screenplay and is also producing the production. Paesano has previously scored the original 2021 Diary of the a Wimpy Kid animated movie, as well as last year’s sequel Rodrick Rules and also composed the music for the Disney+ animated movie Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again. Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever will premiere on December 8, 2023 exclusively on Disney+.
Paesano also continues to score Amazon’s Invincible, which will return for its second season on November 3. The composer also has the video game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (to be released on October 20) coming up.
