Walt Disney Records has released the original song Impossible Child written for Disney’s live-action adaptation of the animated classic The Little Mermaid. The track, which was recorded for the movie, but ended up being cut from the final version of the film, is written by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Enchanted) & Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Encanto, Moana) and performed by Javier Bardem (who stars as Triton) and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the full song below. The official soundtrack album for the film was released in two different versions this past May. The Little Mermaid just premiered on Disney+ this past Wednesday and is also available on VOD. A Blu-ray and DVD release is set for September 19.
