Paul Doucette (1 Mile to You, For All Mankind, The Archer) and Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery/Picard, Legion, The Night Of, Love & Death) have teamed up to score the upcoming documentary Canary. The film is directed by Danny O’Malley & Alex Rivest and chronicles the life of Dr. Lonnie Thompson, an explorer daring to seek Earth’s history contained in glaciers atop the tallest mountains in the world who found himself on the frontlines of climate change – his life’s work evolving into a salvage mission to recover these historical records before they disappear forever. O’Malley & Alex Rivest are also producing the project with Adam Paul Smith. Canary will be released in select theaters on September 15, 2023 by Oscilloscope and will have a one-night-only nationwide theatrical release on September 20.
