Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery/Picard, The Night Of, Love & Death, The Umbrella Academy) and Tracie Turnbull (A Brief History of Time Travel) have teamed up to score the upcoming noir thriller What You Wish For. The film is written and directed by Nicholas Tomnay (The Perfect Host) and stars Nick Stahl, Tamsin Topolski, Penelope Mitchell, Juan Carlos Messier and Randy Vasquez. The movie revolves around a talented chef with crushing gambling problems who flees to a Latin American villa where he assumes another man’s identity. Tomnay is also producing the Evergreen Avenue production with Kevin Chinoy & Francesca Silvestri (The Florida Project). Russo has previously scored the 2020 feature Lorelei produced by Chinoy & Silvestri. What You Wish For will premiere next week at the 2023 Fantasia International Film Festival.
Russo’s other upcoming projects include new seasons of FX’s Fargo and Paramount+’s Star Trek: Discovery.
