Writer/director/producer Dave Filoni has revealed at a panel today at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 in London that Kevin Kiner (Doom Patrol, Narcos: Mexico, CSI: Miami, Making a Murderer) is scoring Lucasfilm’s upcoming Disney+ original series Ahsoka. The show is written by Filoni stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, alongside Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla. The drama is set after the fall of the Empire and follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. Filoni (The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett) is also executive producing the project with Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Elf), Kathleen Kennedy (E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park), Colin Wilson (War of the Worlds, The Meg) and Carrie Beck. Kiner has previously collaborated with Feloni on the animated Star Wars shows The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Bad Batch and Tales of the Jedi. Ahsoka will premiere this August on Disney+.
Kiner also continues to co-score HBO Max’s Titans, which will return for its final episodes next Thursday, April 13, as well as AMC’s Dark Winds, which has been renewed for a second season to premiere this year.
