Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, The Island, Deepwater Horizon, Lone Survivor, Ender’s Game, Desperate Housewives, Skyscraper, DC League of Super-Pets) has been hired to score the upcoming western The Rescue. The film is directed by Potsy Ponciroli (Old Henry, Greedy People) and stars Brandon Sklenar, Josh Lucas, Hassie Harrison, Tim Blake Nelson, Nick Searcy, Lorelei Olivia Mote, Austin Amelio, Spencer Treat Clark and Josh Duhamel. The movie follows a former follows a rodeo cowboy who takes matters into his own hands when his daughter is kidnapped for ransom and – with her devoted dog by his side – sets out to bring her home. John Fusco (Young Guns, Hidalgo) wrote the screenplay. Ponciroli is also producing the Hideout production with Shannon Houchins (The Isolate Thief, Howard’s Mill) and Cliff Roberts (Untamed, The Dog Stars). Jablonsky has previously collaborated with Ponciroli on last year’s Motor City. The Rescue is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on January 29, 2027 by Paramount Pictures.
