Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty!. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Halpern (The Rider, Watcher, Emily the Criminal, Swallow, Will & Harper, In the Same Breath, Coup!). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 25. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty! is co-written and directed by Josef Kubota Wladyka and stars Rinko Kikuchi, Alberto Guerra, Alejandro Edda, YOU, Yoh Yoshida and Damián Alcázar. The movie follows a grief-stricken ballroom dancer who must confront her painful past and decide her future when friends coax her out of isolation and into an intense infatuation with her new studio instructor. The drama premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it received the Directing Award (Dramatic) and will be released in select theaters tomorrow by Sony Pictures Classics.
