Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, The Lost City, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie & The Dino Movie, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Stargirl, Shotgun Wedding, Slumberland, Loney Planet, Family Switch) has composed the original music for the new National Geographic original documentary event series Africa Earth’s Wild Home. The show is narrated by Wunmi Mosaku and uses the latest technology to tell the stories from the continent and cutting-edge CGI to unearth the deep history and forces that shaped Africa’s natural worlds. The 7-parter documents several species and behaviors for the first time, including the elusive black rain frog, filmed for TV for the first time, and hyenas in the Congo hunting elephants at night. Mosaku is also executive producing the BBC Studios Natural History Unit production with Simon Blakeney, Pam Caragol (Queens, A Real Bug’s Life) and Tom McDonald (Lion, JFK: One Day in America). Africa Earth’s Wild Home will premiere next Friday, October 2 on National Geographic and will also be available to stream the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
