Dan Romer (Luca, Lilo & Stitch, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Station Eleven,  Beasts of No Nation, Superman & Lois,Beasts of the Southern WildManiacThe Good Doctor) is composing the original music for the upcoming Netflix original series Little House on the Prairie. The show is developed by Rebecca Sonnenshine (Archive 81, The Boys) based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s semi-autobiographical Little House books and stars Luke Bracey, Crosby Fitzgerald, Alice Halsey, Skywalker Hughes, Jocko Sims, Warren Christie, Meegwun Fairbrother, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Wren Zhawenim Gotts and Barrett Doss. The drama offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier.Sonnenshine serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the CBS Studios & Anonymous Content production with Joy Gorman Wettels (13 Reasons Why, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World) for Joy Coalition, Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions, as well as Dana Fox (How to Be Single, Home Before Dark). Little House on the Prairie will premiere on July 9, 2026 exclusively on Netflix and has already been renewed for a second season.

Romer also has the Prime Video animated series Kevin, as well as Drake Doremus’ feature Next Life coming up. He has also scored Lauren Meyering’s Horsegirls, which premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and will be released in theaters this year by Sumerian Picrtures, and is also expected to score the second season of HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
