La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1976 sports comedy The Bad News Bears directed by Michael Ritchie and starring Walter Matthau, Tatum O’Neal, Vic Morrow, Joyce Van Patten, Jackie Earle Haley, Ben Piazza and Alfred W. Lutter. The album features the newly remastered and expanded score from the film adapted and conducted by Jerry Fielding (The Wild BunchBring Me the Head of Alfredo GarciaEscape from AlcatrazScorpioThe Gambler), as well as alternate tracks and source cues. The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details, listen to audio clips and pre-order the soundtrack. Quartet Records has previously released Fielding’s music as part of a 3-CD box set coupled with the scores for the movie’s sequels back in 2016. The Bad News Bears is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
