Mychael Danna (Life of PiMoneyball, Little Miss SunshineGirl, Interrupted, Capote, The Ice Storm) and Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, Onward, The Hunting Wives, Alias GraceThe Addams FamilyThe Boondock SaintsStorksJuliaSilent Hill) have teamed up to score the upcoming British/Canadian family adventure Flavia. The film is directed by Bharat Nalluri (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, The Crow: Salvation) and stars Martin Freeman, Jonathan Pryce, Toby Jones and Molly Belle Wright. The movie based on the bestselling Flavia de Luce series of novels by Alan Bradley is set in 1950s England and follows an 11‑year‑old chemistry prodigy who launches a fearless investigation to uncover the truth when a dead body is discovered at her family’s crumbling manor house and her father confesses to the crime. Susan Coyne (Daisy Jones & the Six, North of North) wrote the screenplay. Robert Mickelson (Off the Lip), Paula Mazur, Chris Curling (The Last Station, The Miracle Club) and Mitchell Kaplan (Let Him Go, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society) are producing the project for Mystic Point Productions, The Mazur Kaplan Company & Zephyr Films. Mychael Danna has previously scored Nalluri’s last feature, The Man Who Invented Christmas. Flavia will premiere in the UK this Saturday, April 4 on Sky Cinema and will make its U.S. premiere next week at the 2026 Miami Film Festival.
