Miju has released a soundtrack album for the French/Belgian hybrid live-action/animated feature Dandelion’s Odyssey (Planètes). The album features the film’s original music composed by Quentin Sirjacq (Asphalt City, Brother, Made in China, I Feel Better, The Islanders), Nicolas Becker (Sound of Metal, A Prayer Before Dawn, Memory House, Earwig) and Eddie Ruscha. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composers’ first track (Cosmos) after the jump. Dandelion’s Odyssey is directed by Momoko Seto and follows four dandelion achenes who escape the nuclear destruction of Earth, launching themselves into the corners of space and working together to survive on a strange new world. The movie premiered at last year’s Cannes Critics’ Week (and screened at numerous other film festivals over the last year) and is opening in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
