Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the British drama Midwinter Break. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hannah Peel (Rogue Agent, Scoop, Insomnia, Bring Them Down, The Midwich Cuckoos, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, Silent Roar, The Deceived). Midwinter Break marks the feature debut of theater director Polly Findlay and stars Lesley Manville, Ciarán Hinds and Niahm Cusack. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Bernard MacLaverty (who also co-wrote the screenplay) and revolves around a retired long-time couple whose travel from their home in Glasgow to Amsterdam for an impromptu holiday stirs up troubled memories from their past. The drama is being released in U.S. theaters this weekend by Focus Features.
