Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French psychological thriller Guru (Gourou). The album features the film’s original music composed by Chloé Thévenin (Arthur Rambo, The Mountain, A Decent Man). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s “overture” track after the jump. Guru is co-written and directed by Yann Gozlan and stars Pierre Niney, Marion Barbeau, Christophe Montenez, Anthony Bajon and Holt McCallany. The movie revolves around a successful and charismatic life coach leading inspirational self-affirmation events whose world begins to unravel when a Senator starts to threaten his business and some of his followers begin to exhibit intense and dangerous levels of obsession. The thriller premiered at last year’s American French Film Festival in Los Angeles and is being released in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic release.
