Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the psychological thriller The Housemaid. The two volume album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Theodore Shapiro (Severance, Tropic Thunder, The Devil Wears PradaBombshell, A Simple Favor, Marley & Me, Ghostbusters, Spies in Disguise). Grammy Award-winning composer/musician Caroline Shaw is the featured vocalist on the score. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 19. The Housemaid is directed by Paul Feig and stars Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone and Elizabeth Perkins. The movie based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling book of the same title follows a young woman trying to escape her past who accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for a wealthy couple, but what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into a seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. The thriller is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Lionsgate.
