Remise Musikverlag has released a soundtrack album for the German comedy drama The Hero of Friedrichstrasse Station (Der Held vom Bahnhof Friedrichstrasse). The album features the film’s original music composed by Lorenz Dangel (September 5, The Carpenter’s Son, The German Lesson, A Fortunate Man, The Colony, What Will People Say, Hell, The Robber). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples.. The Hero of Friedrichstrasse Station is co-written and directed by Wolfgang Becker and stars Charly Hübner, Christiane Paul, Daniel Brühl, Leon Ullrich, Leonie Benesch, Thorsten Merten, Dirk Martens, Peter Kurth, Jürgen Vogel and Katarina Witt. The movie is based on Maxim Leo’s novel of the same name and tells the story of an East German signalman who helped more than a hundred people flee the GDR via his station in East Berlin. The drama is opening in German theaters today.
