Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney+ original animated movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Paesano (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Daredevil, The Maze Runner, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Truth Be Told, Cheaper by the Dozen) & Adam Hochstatter. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 5. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw is directed by Matt Danner and stars Aaron D. Harris, Chris Diamantopoulos, Erica Cerra, Hunter Dillon, Jude Zarzaur, Gracen Newton, Jill Basey, Bashir Salahuddin and William Stanford Davis. The project marks the fourth animated feature adaptation of Jeff Kinney’s book series following the Paesano-scored Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules & Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever. The movie, which follows Greg Heffley as he finds himself at odds with the outsized expectations of his dad who presents him with an ultimatum, will premiere tomorrow exclusively on Disney+.
