Composer, conductor, producer, DJ, arranger, singer/songwriter and pianist Steve Hackman is making his feature scoring debut on the new Netflix original film Jingle Bell Heist. The movie is directed by Michael Fimognari (To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You & Always and Forever) and stars Olivia Holt, Connor Swindells, Lucy Punch, Peter Serafinowicz, Poppy Drayton, Natasha Joseph and Michael Salami. The romantic comedy follows a sharp-witted retail worker and a down-on-his-luck repairman who team up to rob a posh London department store on Christmas Eve. Abby McDonald wrote the screenplay. Matt Kaplan (I Wish You All the Best) is producing the project. Hackman is best known for his works of classical-pop fusion blending orchestral compositions with the music of popular artists, including Radiohead x Brahms and Beethoven x Beyonce. Jingle Bell Heist will premiere next Wednesday, November 26 on Netflix.
