Universal Music Latin has released a new soundtrack album for the 2000 Mexican drama Amores Perros directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and starring Emilio Echevarría, Gael García Bernal, Goya Toledo, Vanessa Bauche, Álvaro Guerrero, Jorge Salinas, Humberto Busto and Adriana Barraza. The album features the film’s newly remastered original score composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, The Last of Us, Babel, The Book of Life, The Motorcycle Diaries, August: Osage County), as well as the songs from the movie by artists such as Control Machete, Nacho Pop, Café Tacvba, Julieta Venegas, Titan, Fiebre & others. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Amores Perros premiered at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival and was released in U.S. theaters the following year by Lionsgate. The drama, which was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Foreign Language Film category, is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
