Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for the French psychological thriller The Residence (Dalloway). The album features the film’s original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Philippe Rombi (Swimming PoolPotiche, Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion, War of the Buttons,  In the HouseAngel). The CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the soundtrack. Gaumont has released a digital version today (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). The Residence is co-written and directed by Yann Gozlan and stars Cécile De France, Mylène Farmer, Lars Mikkelsen and Frédéric Pierrot. The movie follows a novelist lacking inspiration who joins a prestigious artist residency, where she finds support in a virtual assistant that helps her write, but soon begins to grow uneasy with the AI’s increasingly intrusive presence and secretly launches an investigation to uncover the true intentions of her host. The thriller, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, opened in French theaters last month. No word yet on a domestic release.
