Anne Dudley (The Crying GameAmerican History XThe Full MontyThe Hustle, Benedetta, Pushing Tin) is the composer of the new Channel 5/PBS Masterpiece original series The Forsytes. The show is developed by Debbie Horsfield (Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale, Age Before Beauty) inspired by John Galsworthy’s Nobel Prize-winning Forsyte Saga novels and stars Francesca Annis, Stephen Moyer, Danny Griffin, Tuppence Middleton, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jack Davenport, Millie Gibson, Joshua Orpin, Tom Durant-Pritchard, Josette Simon OBE, Jamie Flatters, Owen Igiehon and Susan Hampshire. The 6-part drama follows the romances, family bonds and ambitions of the wealthy Forsyte family in 1880s London. Horsfield is also executive producing ther project with Meenu Gaur (who is also directing), Michael Ray and Damien Timmer (Endeavour, Victoria) for Mammoth Screen, as well as Susanne Simpson (Wolf Hall, Grantchester) for Masterpiece. Dudley has previously collaborated with Horsefield on BBC’s Poldark. The Forsytes is premiering in the UK tonight on Channel 5 and will make its U.S. debut in early in 2026 on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series. The series has already been renewed for a second season.

Dudley also continues to score Acorn TV’s & BBC America’s Signora Volpe, which will return for a third season.
