Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, The Kominsky Method, White House Plumbers, Heels, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, CSI: Miami, The Franchise, Just Friends) has composed the original music for the upcoming action comedy Playdate. The film is directed by Luke Greenfield (Let’s Be Cops, The Girl Next Door) and stars Alan Ritchson, Kevin James, Sarah Chalke, Alan Tudyk, Stephen Root, Banks Pierce, Benjamin Pajak, Hiro Kanagawa and Isla Fisher. The movie follows a recently unemployed accountant who agrees to a playdate with a charismatic stay-at-home dad and their sons and unexpectedly gets thrust into a chaotic scramble to stay alive as they are pursued by a ruthless team of mercenaries. Neil Goldman (Shrinking, Scrubs) wrote the screenplay. Greenfield is also producing the project with Jason Benoit (Half Brothers), Sean Patrick O’Reilly (Locked), Mark Fasano (Land of Bad, Marlowe) and Jeffrey Greenstein (The Outpost, Red Sonja). Playdate will premiere on November 12, 2025 exclusively on Prime Video.
Cardoni also continues to score CBS’ Ghosts, which will return for its fifth season on October 16 and is also expected to return to score the second season of the Netflix series Ransom Canyon.
