Steven Price (Gravity, Fury, Our Planet, Suicide Squad, The Aeronauts, Over the Moon, My Policeman, Heads of State, Heart of Stone) is currently recording his score for the upcoming action thriller The Running Man. The film directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and stars Glen Powell, William H. Macy, Colman Domingo, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra, Michael Cera, Jayme Lawson and Josh Brolin. The movie is set in a near-future society and follows a working-class father desperate to save his sick daughter who gets convinced to enter a deadly television game show competition where contestants must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward. Wright also co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Bacall (21/22 Jump Street, Project X) based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel. He is also producing the project with Simon Kinberg (Deadpool, Logan, The Martian) and Nira Park (The Kid Who Would Be King, Rebecca). Price has previously collaborated with the filmmaker on the features The World’s End, Baby Driver and Last Night in Soho. Wright has shared images from the recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios in London on Instagram. The Running Man will be released in theaters nationwide on November 14, 2025 by Paramount Pictures.
