Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Dead of Winter. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave, Dune: Prophecy, Lion, The Amateur, Adrift, Hotel Mumbai, One Life). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 26 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Dead of Winter is directed by Brian Kirk and stars Emma Thompson, Judy Greer, Gaia Wise, Marc Menchaca, Laurel Marsden, Paul Hamilton, Cúán Hosty-Blaney, Dalton Leeb, Lloyd Hutchinson and Brían F. O’Byrne. The movie follows a grief-stricken loner caught in a brutal Minnesotan blizzard who discovers a young woman imprisoned by a desperate armed couple, forcing her into a dangerous fight for her and the victim’s survival. The thriller premiered at this year’s Locarno Film Festival and will be released in U.S. theaters this coming weekend by Vertical.
