Paul Englishby (An Education, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Luther, Page Eight, Sunshine on Leith, The Musketeers) is the composer of the new BritBox/BBC crime drama Lynley. he show is created by Steve Thompson (Vienna Blood, Prime Target) and stars Leo Suter, Sofia Barclay, Daniel Mays, Michael Workeye, Niamh Walsh and Joshua Sher. The series revolves around a brilliant police detective who gets paired with a sergeant with a maverick attitude and a working-class background and – together – become a formidable team, bonded by their desire to see justice done. Thompson is also executive producing the project with David Stern (Howards End, Delhi Crime) and Colin Callender (Wolf Hall, All Creatures Great & Small) for Playground, Robert Schildhouse (Code of Silence), Stephen Nye (Time, Father Brown), Jon Farrar (Towards Zero) and Jess O’ Riordan (Murder Is Easy) for BritBox, as well as Kate Woods for BBC Studios and Sue Deeks (Intruders) for the BBC. Lynley is premiering in the U.S. today on BritBox and will debut in the UK in the coming months on BBC One and the BBCiPlayer.
