Jeremiah Fraites (of the folk band The Lumineers) has written the original score for the upcoming biographical drama Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere. The film is written and directed by Scott Cooper (Black Mass, Crazy Heart) and stars Jeremy Allen White in the title role, Jeremy Strong as his long-time confidant and manager, Jon Landau, as well as Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, Odessa Young, Marc Maron, Gaby Hoffman and David Krumholtz. The movie is based on the book Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes and chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 Nebraska album that marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works. Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (The Maze Runner, The Spiderwick Chronicles), Eric Robinson and Scott Stuber (Ted, Central Intelligence). Dave Cobb has previously been announced to be involved in the project as executive music producer. Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere is premiering tonight at the Telluride Film Festival and is set to be released in theaters nationwide on October 24 by 20th Century Studios.
Fraites has recently made his narrative feature scoring debut on Francis Lawrence’s The Long Walk, which will be released in theaters on September 12 by Lionsgate.
