Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the French body horror drama Alpha. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jim Williams (Titane, Possessor, Raw, Beast, House of Spoils, ResurrectionA Field in EnglandSightseers). The soundtrack is being released digitally overseas today and is expected to be available in the U.S. in the coming months. Visit the French Apple Music store to listen to audio samples. Alpha is written and directed by Julia Ducournau and stars Tahar Rahim, Golshifteh Farahani, Mélissa Boros, Emma Mackey, Louai El Amrousy and Finnegan Oldfield. The movie centers on a troubled 13-year-old girl who lives with her single mom and whose world collapses the day she returns from school with a tattoo on her arm. The drama, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, just opened in French theaters this past Wednesday and is set to be released in select U.S. theaters this fall by Neon.
