The full details of the soundtrack album for Ethan Coen’s comedy Honey Don’t! have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Carter Burwell (CarolThe Banshees of Inisherin, Fargo, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, True Grit, The Blind SideTwilightAnomalisa). Also included are the movie’s original songs written by Jack Antonoff & Coen and performed by lead actress Margaret Qualley (as Lace Manhattan) (two of which have already been released as a digital single last month), as well as Brittany Howard’s cover of the Animals’ We Gotta Get Out of this Place and Qualley’s, Aubrey Plaza’s & Talia Ryder’s rendition of Carl Perkins’ Honey Don’t. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 22 by Shadow of the City and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to Burwell’s first and final score track below. Honey Don’t! is co-written (with Tricia Cooke) and directed by Coen and also stars Chris Evans, Charlie Day and Billy Eichner. The comedy, which follows a small-town private investigator who delves into a series of strange deaths tied to a mysterious church, premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Focus Features.
