Dream Studio has released a soundtrack album for the Chinese historical action drama Dongji Rescue. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Atli Örvarsson (Silo, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Vantage Point, Defending Jacob, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Rams, The Eagle, The Edge of Seventeen). Fei Yu serves as the project’s music producer. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list (in Chinese). Also listen to the first two tracks after the jump. Dongji Rescue is directed by Guan Hu & Zhenxiang Fei and stars Zhu Yilong, Wu Lei and Ni Ni. The movie takes place in 1942 and tells the story of a group of Dongji fishermen who risked their lives to rescue over three hundred British soldiers and rescued three British individuals during a large-scale search by Japanese forces. The drama opened in Chinese theaters earlier this month and will be released in select U.S. theaters this coming Friday, August 22 by Well Go USA Entertainment.
