Interscope Records will release a soundtrack album for the mockumentary sequel Spinal Tap II: The End Continues. The 13-track album feature nine new original songs, as well as four reinvented tracks from the original This Is Spinal Tap movie. Spinal Tap II: The End Continues is directed by Rob Reiner and stars Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, Fran Drescher, Elton John, Paul Shaffer, Paul McCartney, Questlove and Chris Addison. The movie takes place 41 years after the events of the original movie and follows the now estranged bandmates David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel &Derek Smalls as they are forced to reunite for one final concert. The comedy will be released in theaters nationwide on September 12 by Bleecker Street.
