The film’s original score is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Kong: Skull Island, Big Hero 6). Opening in New York this weekend before expanding to more U.S. markets in the coming weeks is the Japanese psychological thriller Cloud (Kuraudo) written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and starring Masaki Suda, Kotone Furukawa, Yoshiyoshi Arakawa, Amane Okayama, Daiken Okudaira, and Masataka Kubota. Takuma Watanabe (Aristocrats, Chime, A Beautiful Star) has composed the film’s original music. The composer has released a soundtrack album featuring his score last fall when the movie opened in Japan. Massimo Martellotta (Blanca, La cura) has composed the film’s original music. Octopus Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score early last year when the movie opened in Italian theaters (following a premiere at the 2023 Venice Film Festival). The film’s original music is composed by Deng Ouge (A Cool Fish, Endgame). Emperor Entertainment Group & Shenzhen Yiyiyi Culture Media Co. have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this month. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the thriller Saint Clare co-written and directed by Mitzi Peirone and starring Bella Thorne, Ryan Phillippe, Rebecca DeMornay, Frank Whaley and Bart Johnson. Singer/songwriter Zola Jesus has composed the film’s original music and has made her scoring debut on the project. A soundtrack album is in the works. The movie, which follows a solitary woman who is haunted by voices that lead her to assassinate ill intended people and get away with it, until her last kill sucks her down a rabbit hole, premiered at last year’s Taormina Film Festival and is being released by Quiver Distribution.
Also opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the action comedy Guns Up directed by Edward Drake and starring Kevin James, Christina Ricci and Luis Guzman. The film’s original music is composed by Aoife O’Leary & Gerry Owens (Cut Killer, The Clean Up Crew). No soundtrack album has been announced yet. The movie, which follows a mob henchman and ex-cop whose final job goes off the rails and has one night to get his unsuspecting family out of the city before he gets snuffed out, is being distributed by Vertical.
