Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the British Netflix original series Dept. Q. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award and Grammy Award winner Carlos Rafael Rivera (The Queen’s Gambit, GodlessLessons in Chemistry, Monsieur Spade, A Walk Among the Tombstones, Hacks, Griselda, Chupa, EzraJust Beyond). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 29 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Q is created by Scott Frank &  Chandni Lakhani and stars Matthew Goode, Chloe Pirrie, Jamie Sives, Leah Byrne, Mark Bonnar, Alexej Manvelov, Shirley Henderson, Kate Dickie and Kelly Macdonald. The crime thriller is based on Jussi Adler-Olsen’s novels and follows a brash, but brilliant cop who becomes head of a new police department, where he leads an unlikely team of misfits in solving Edinburgh’s cold cases. The Left Bank Pictures production will premiere tomorrow exclusively on Netflix.
