Composer Brian Reitzell (Stranger Than FictionFriday Night LightsBeginners, Red Riding Hood, Relic, The Bling Ring) is reuniting with director David Slade (Hard Candy, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) on the Season 7 episode Plaything of the Netflix anthology series Black Mirror. The episode is directed by Slade, written by Charlie Brooker and stars Peter Capaldi, Lewis Gribben, James Nelson Joyce, Will Poulter, Michele Austin and Asim Chaudhry. Plaything is set in a near-future London and centers on an eccentric murder suspect who is linked to an unusual video game from the 1990s — a game populated by cute, evolving artificial lifeforms. Reitzell has previously scored the Slade directed Black Mirror “interactive” episode Bandersnatch and also collaborated with the filmmaker on the features 30 Days of Night & Dark Harvest and the TV series Hannibal & American Gods. The seventh season of Black Mirror will premiere on April 10 on Netflix.
