Laura Karpman (American Fiction, Captain America: Brave New World, The Marvels, Paris Can Wait, Miss Marvel, What If…?, Set It Up) has been tapped to score the upcoming Max original series Duster. The show is created by J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) & LaToya Morgan and stars Josh Holloway, Rachel Hilson, Keith David, Sydney Elisabeth, Camille Guaty, Greg Grunberg, Adriana Aluna Martinez, Asivak Koostachin and Benjamin Charles Watson. The crime thriller is set in the 1970s Southwest and explores the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate that goes from dangerous to wildly, stupidly dangerous when a tenacious agent comes into town hellbent on taking his crime family down. Morgan is also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television production with Bad Robot’s Abrams & Rachel Rusch Rich (Presumed Innocent, Batman: Caped Crusader). Steph Green is directing and executive producing the first two episodes. Karpman has previously co-scored the Abrams-produced HBO series Lovecraft Country. Duster will premiere on May 15 exclusively on Max.
