Sight Unseen has released a soundtrack album for the drama The Teacher. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alex Baranowski (True Things, The Kitchen, Locked In, The Windmere Children, Midas Man, Rain Dogs, A Perfect Enemy). The soundtrack is now available to stream on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (Introduction / Basem) below. The Teacher is written and directed by Farah Nabulsi and stars Saleh Bakri, Imogen Poots and Muhammad Abed El Rahman. The movie tells the intertwining stories of a Palestinian schoolteacher who faces personal turmoil after a tragic incident involving his son and an American attorney and his wife who push for the return of their son, an Israeli soldier held by a Palestinian resistance group. The drama premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and opened in several international markets (including the UK) last fall. Watermelon Pictures has picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in select U.S. theaters on April 11.
